Payment in lieu of taxes (pilot) program now open for applications

The City of Detroit's Housing and Revitalization Department is thrilled to announce that the updated and expanded Payment in Lieu of Taxes Program (PILOT) is now open and accepting applications.

Our staff is ready to provide assistance and answer any questions when it comes to the application process.

Tomorrow, Wednesday February 19, from 9-10 a.m. there will be a virtual training and Q & A session. A link to that training can be found here. The training will be recorded and put on the PILOT website as well.

On Thursday, February 20 from 1-3 p.m. the department will be hosting virtual office hours. This will be an open Q&A session intended for potential applicants. We strongly recommend those participating in the virtual office hours view the public virtual training as well. The link for the virtual office hours can be found here.
